Workshops for schools: from kindergarten to high school
Workshop awakens kids’ understanding of the environment through playfully exploring nature using the 5 senses of sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch.
Workshop on the 3Rs (reduce at source, reuse, recycle and recover), 10 tips for a zero-waste lunch, and an open discussion about food waste.
Workshop explores a resource or type of energy consumed in class by tracing it to its source. The objective is awareness of the impacts of our habits of consumption on the natural environment.
Workshop focuses on the sowing - indoors - of bee-friendly plants to raise awareness of the decrease in the bee and wild pollinator populations, to learn how to sow plants indoors, and to learn how plants grow and feed themselves. *Workshop offered in April and May.
Urban agriculture workshop for indoor planting of 8 different species: tomato, cucumber, squash, lettuce, cosmos flower, sunflower, basil and dill. The results have the potential to become the start of an outdoor vegetable garden at the end of May. *Workshop offered in April and May
